Singapore Airlines has announced that it will resume flying between its main airport and New York starting Nov. 9.
The flight will be operated with an Airbus 350lr with a configuration of 42 seats in business, 24 in premium economy and 187 in economy. The flight will have a duration of 18 hours and 5 minutes in the direction of the United States and 18 hours and 40 minutes when it returns to Asia and will be operated 3 times a week. As recounted in this article, the flight between Singapore and New York is the longest operational in the world (pre covid).
But what is new is the change of airport in the Big Apple, the company has, in fact, announced that it will no longer be Newark, but John F. Kennedy. The motivation? To make flying more convenient for passengers and for cargo operations, given the high demand for transportation between the East Coast and the area.
