2020 was supposed to be an eventful year for aviation...unfortunately, however, we witnessed more funerals of companies and aircraft than celebrations.
It was supposed to celebrate 100 years of KLM, the 25th anniversary of Airbaltic, but also the birthday of EasyJet, born London in the mid-1990s.
"Although the last few months have been quite tough, this week marks a moment we are very proud of in EasyJet's history. We are turning 25, and we wanted to write to say thank you for helping to get us where we are today. In November 1995, with the ambitious dream of making European travel accessible to everyone, and with just one airplane and 70 employees, we took our first passengers from London Luton to Glasgow."
So begins the email the carrier sent to all its customers to celebrate its anniversary.
