Yesterday the announcement, today the commissioning, Emirates' new premium economy has finally been unveiled, but the real news is that the entire cabin of the Airbus A380 has been revised and improved.

The airline received its newest A380 from the Airbus factory in Hamburg last week. The next five A380s, the last to be produced, will be equipped with premium economy cabins. Emirates' premium economy seats will also be installed on some of its Boeing 777Xs, aircraft that will not join the fleet until 2023.
In addition, Emirates is considering plans to upgrade its existing A380 fleet.

Commenting on Emirates' premium economy cabins, Sir Tim emphasized, "Our Premium Economy product has been carefully developed in line with Emirates' brand positioning as a full-service airline of the highest quality. Our First, Business and Economy experiences redefined industry standards when they were introduced and we are confident that our Premium Economy will leave its mark".
The first big news is that the new seats, located at the front of the A380's lower deck, will be offered free of charge to passengers traveling in tourist class. The motivation is simple: impossible to plan where these (few) A380s will be used, since there are more than 100 in service for the Dubai-based company. Premium Economy: comfort and space
Here are details of its highly anticipated premium economy cabin, which offers 56 seats arranged in a 2-4-2 layout.
With a row spacing of up to 101 cm, Emirates' premium economy seat is 49 centimeters wide and reclines 20 cm in a comfortable cradle position with ample room to stretch.
Upholstered in stain-resistant cream-colored leather with stitching details and a wood panel finish similar to Business Class, each seat is designed for optimal comfort and support with 6-way adjustable headrests, leg rests and footrests.
Each seat features a 13.3-inch screen, one of the largest in its class, for enjoying the unparalleled array of music, movies, TV, news, and other in-flight content. Customers will also find thoughtful touches, including easily accessible in-seat charging points, a large dining table, and a side cocktail table.
The entire cabin layout in all travel classes also changes: the on-board lounge and first class passenger SPAs have been renovated.
First Class: even more privacy and luxury
On this latest Emirates A380, the airline's 14 private First Class suites have been upgraded from the original suites, being slightly larger with higher doors for even more privacy and comfort.
Cabin details and finishes have also been renovated with new patterns and colors: wide stairs leading from the main deck to the upper deck, new design, and modern accessories in the Shower Spa.
Business Class: new luxury finishes
Emirates has retained its popular A380 Business Class seats that offer direct aisle access for every passenger, ample storage space, a high degree of privacy, and a seat that lays completely flat.
All 76 seats have been refurbished to feature champagne-colored leather upholstery and wood trim, inspired by executive jets, similar to Emirates' Boeing 777 Gamechanger Business Class.
The same classic color scheme has also been applied to the Onboard Lounge at the rear of the upper deck, for the exclusive use of First and Business Class passengers.
Economy: gamechanger seats
Emirates has replaced all 338 Economy seats on board its all-new A380 with ergonomically designed seats equipped with all-leather headrests and flexible side panels that can be adjusted vertically for optimal support.
This latest seat design is a step up from the version currently installed on Emirates' Boeing 777 Gamechanger. It is lighter without compromising comfort or functionality. Each seat features an elegant wood-grain finish on the tray tables and a 13.3-inch personal screen for enjoying Emirates' award-winning ice.
Renovated cabin interior
Throughout the interior of Emirates' A380, customers will see new finishes and design touches featuring the Ghaf tree motif (prosopis cineraria), as well as the clean and airy combination of champagne colors with wood panels and bronze accents reminiscent of Emirates' latest Boeing 777 Gamechanger.
A native evergreen plant, the Ghaf is considered the national tree of the United Arab Emirates and has deep cultural and ecological significance.
All classes are equipped with of the last generation of the award-winning in-flight entertainment system Emirates IFE which offers improved and superior image quality. Each seat screen will feature ultra-wide viewing angles, a capacitive touch screen, LED backlighting, and Full HD display.
Now all that remains is to play, for free, Russian roulette since the odds of traveling on this new model are 1 to 116, equal to the A380 aircraft currently in service for Emirates.
