Europe's first Centurion Lounge opens in a few months
It is appropriate to say "finally," it's about time to have a centurion lounge close to home

American Express' most exclusive cards have always been a loyal and thoughtful "travel companion." From reserved rates when booking business or first tickets, insurance to fast track at the airport.
There is one advantage, however, that European customers do not often get to take advantage of, that of being able to relax before a flight in a very exclusive Centurion Lounge.
These airport lounges are. absolutely superior to independent lounges and in some cases are better even than the companies' official waiting rooms.
Amex has always focused on large spaces and fashionable design, the furniture and solutions adopted, which are different for each lounge, are comparable to real showrooms.
Relaxation areas, lounges where business meetings can be held, not forgetting those traveling with children almost all have mini kindergardens where little ones can let off steam before a flight.
Excellent menus designed by star chefs, real cocktail bars, not to mention a selection of wines, champagnes and spirits to make the flagship lounges of major flag carriers envious.
All this comes offered free of charge to platinum card holders and centurion, which can also bring guests inside to spend the wait before takeoff in total relaxation.
Where the Centurion Lounges are today
At present, almost all of these lounges are located in the United States; the only lounge outside the American continent is in Hong Kong.
In detail they are located at:

Of these four were opened in 2020: Phoenix, Charlotte, Los Angeles, and New York JFK.
Planned new entries in 2021 are 2 And both were already supposed to be open.
Denver, lounge that was scheduled to open in 2019. Work recently began on what will be the second largest Centurion with an area of nearly 1,500 square meters. It is not expected to open until spring at the earliest.
The other novelty will be at the main stopover in Europe, namely London Heathrow.
Finally, since taken out of Hong Kong, it will be the second lounge outside the U.S. and we will be content even if it is not very big.
It will be located in terminal 3 which, for those unfamiliar with the London airport, is the one used mainly by Delta and Virgin Atlantic, by many One World airlines such as American Airlines, Latam, Qantas, by the "low-cost" Vueling (owned by British Airways), and especially by Emirates .
How do you access the Centurion lounges.
When you arrive at the front desk simply show your platinum american express (or centurion) along with your boarding pass, you will then be able to enter bringing two guests with you.
You cannot enter these lounges for a fee and/or using other cards such as priority pass or the like.
While centurion card holders (the black one) can also use the lounges upon arrival at one of these airports, for all others access is allowed only if you are departing and if your flight departs no later than the next 24 hours.
The benefit is personal and not card-related, so if you have two platinum amexes, you will still only be able to let in two guests.
The most important benefit, however, is that "centurion" customers will always be able to enter even when the lounge is full, while platinum customers may be stopped for the same reason. In addition, holders of this card in some lounges also get special courtesies, such as reserved areas and dedicated wine list.
