Review Nikki Beach, arguably the best beach hotel in Dubai

We can say with certainty that it is impossible to determine which is the best hotel in Dubai, no matter what Tripadvisor says or what the various guidebooks say, there are so many factors to take into consideration that it is completely unrealistic to award the title of "Best Hotel in Dubai."

Nikki Beach Hotel fits perfectly into the list of what you wouldn't expect in a city like this. It's small, it doesn't have a large number of rooms, the building doesn't have many floors, the structure only rises to the third floor, it's cozy and away from everything and at the same time close to everything.

It is definitely designed for a young clientele, including families, who want to enjoy the sea and relaxation of Dubai without being in the heart of a city that is constantly moving, even during this Covid-19 period.

The Nikki Beach brand is famous for its venues on the most exclusive beaches halfway around the world, from Miami to Saint Tropez, from Bali to Spain.

Hotellerie came later, there are currently 6 active establishments, but it is already making its mark in a highly competitive world.

Reservation

I browsed various portals, but finally settled on booking through Booking. The rates were pretty much all aligned, but thanks to my Payback I was able to take advantage of a x10 multiplier, accumulating many points on my card account.

Even in the off-season the hotel rates are by no means cheap, but given the quality of the facility, it is a fair price considering it is Dubai.

The hotel offers many solutions, from classic rooms to private cottages right on the beach with private pools. I booked a Luux Sea View room for 440€ per night, upon arrival I was offered an upgrade to a Signature Suite with sea view, overlooking the heart of the property, absolutely not bad.

Check-in and room

I arrived late in the morning and after a few minutes I was already in my room. Located on the second floor with a very large veranda terrace where I could enjoy an incredible sunset.

The room was very large, from the entrance there is direct access to the living room with a sofa and a mega 60″+ TV. Let's say that the room could hold more than 10 people without any problem. Everything finely furnished with taste.

I was amazed by the two bathrooms, or rather two rooms equipped with toilets, plus a small sink at opposite corners of the room. Then an immense bathroom with a huge walk-in shower and an equally remarkable bathtub. Finally, the bedroom, also with a clean and essential design, with an incredible sea view.

For more discerning guests there is the option of staying in a private villa. These one- and two-story villas are secluded from the main building, with a private pool and beach access.

Spa and Wellness

The hotel also has a well-equipped gym, all made in Italy. Equipped with technogym equipment, it allows you to work out while maintaining social distancing without any problems.

The facility also has a spa with a beautiful hammam, but unfortunately Covid-19 regulations even in the UAE have forced facilities to adapt to the new normal, so the pool and all "wet" rooms were closed.

The center was only open for treatments, such as massage and other personal services.

Pool and Beach

The beach is in front of the hotel and has sunbeds, loungers, deck chairs. Thanks to the immense beach, it is also possible to position oneself in an area further away from the facility, everything is perfectly customizable.

The heart of the hotel is the central, two-level swimming pool surrounded by four-poster beds and loungers ,where hotel guests can relax, drink or eat without doing more than raising their hands and a waiter will be immediately ready to fulfill any request.

The restaurant

I have not had the pleasure of dining at the facility, but from what I could gather the attempt is to create a real restaurant, one that can attract customers from outside and not just hotel guests.

Having breakfast in the morning on the terrace in total tranquility was the perfect ending to a very, very, positive stay

The Beach Club

It should not be forgotten that the other soul of Nikki Beach are the beach clubs, where you can party poolside.

Saturday afternoon I went to browse the party, and I have to say that although it was still early and many patrons were intent on enjoying brunch, it is definitely one of the best locations to dance and have fun with your feet in the sand or in the pool.

In conclusion

It is the perfect location for those who want to go to Dubai not to be tourists, for that better to stay in a more central part of the city, but for couples or families looking for a place to relax on the beach, away from everything and everyone. Of course being a Nikki Beach, sunset parties on the beach and music everywhere, but without disturbing the guest, in fact they make the stay even more unique.
