One more postponement for the Scarlet Lady's first cruise, the first ship forbidden to minors

Scarlet Lady, the first cruise ship built on behalf of Virgin Voyages, after months in the Ligurian capital that gave her birth, her hours are numbered. In early January. The situation gradually escalated until the worldwide travel stop came. And the Scarlet Lady remained waiting for her "first time" with passengers on board, destination Caribbean.

She had returned to Genoa in July for maintenance work "under warranty" performed by Fincantieri personnel. Stations Maritime had granted the landing by applying a sort of discount, based on the idea that it was a temporary stop in preparation for final departure for the United States. The 20 days became weeks and then months.

After leaving it in the roadstead for most of the summer, with brief stops in port for nautical needs and to drop off seafarers, with the arrival of winter the company began paying a Rather steep bill for "parking" on the west side of Doria Bridge, where it is still located. From what is rumored, however, the agreement will end in the early days of 2021 and the Scarlet Lady will have to find a new home.
