The flag carrier of Hong Kong, in collaboration with the consulting agency Yellow Window, has just revealed a concept futurist for the first class of his Boeing 777-9 That we can sum up with one word: space.
First or business classes have now accustomed us to all kinds of comfort, between technology and design now you definitely fly very comfortable if you choose a premium class.
Despite all the innovations, the problem of the livable space has always been a worry for builders and interior designers, inside an airplane is that space, and it is really complicated to design something that combines comfort, space, functionality and meets safety standards.
Here Cathay Pacific wants to break classic standards within a commercial aircraft, creating a new concept that will satisfy our desire for a spacious walking surface during long journeys, while not giving up the comfort.

Cathay Pacific's First Class Concept.
Cathay Pacific's main goal is to continue to maintain its reputation as one of the best airlines in the world, and to achieve this, he will have to contend with Ethiad and its high-altitude suites, the "Ethiad Apartments," a concentration of luxury and comfort; but also with Singapore Airlines' "Singapore Suites" equated to mini rooms in a hotel in the clouds.
To do this, she relied on Yellow Window, a Paris-based consulting firm specializing in design, which came up with a minimalist yet futuristic concept that respects space to the fullest.
Here is the first concept, configured as two rows of two seats:

In fact, if we really have to be honest, the proximity between chairs is an aspect that needs to be reviewed....

Honestly for a first class one would expect more, perhaps a panel opaque glass, perhaps sliding, could solve this problem. Nothing to say about the beds, they are indeed far apart but we are still talking about an "open space" and therefore not overly private, in any case it is still a "work in progress" and that therefore improvements are not ruled out.
The second concept of Yellow Window
Instead, the configuration of the second concept falls into three rows arranged parallel to each other:

Improved the distance between the armchairs, the corridor provides space, the séparé this time it looks like an option that will be mounted in the future, with a panel cascading down from above, this provides more privacy and an experience best. Certainly the left row is definitely the best placed, to be kept in mind should this concept come to life.
Yellow Window commented: "On the occasion of the delivery of its new Boeing B777-9X and the refitting of the Boeing B777-300ER, Cathay Pacific wanted to rethink the passenger experience and the first-class cabin concept to strengthen its position as a leader among the world's leading airlines.".
Experience modular for Yellow Window suites, which can be transformed at the opportunity according to the passenger's preference:

"Cabin design is based on a concept of 'metamorphosis,' and the first-class suite must be able to offer different spaces for different points in the journey, becoming a lounge, an office, a dining room, and a bedroom. "
The suites also feature screens for entertainment and lights LEDs that can be configured as desired, as well as phone, drink, and device charging sockets.
Who knows if the concept will become a reality as happened for Air France with its First Class "La Première." The project has begun, we just have to wait another year to find out more!
