Hub and aircraft
The fleet will initially consist of two Embraer 190 aircraft that will have Forli's "Ridolfi" airport, which opened on Oct. 29, and Catania's Fontanarossa airport as their main hubs. The initial goal will be to develop a point-to-point network linking strategic cities across the country, later coming to enhance the fiderage network to and from Milan Malpensa by developing agreements with major airlines operating at the Lombardy airport.
The flight plan and fares
Tickets available since yesterday affect the annual programming, active as of March 28, 2021, with a busy schedule of connections that will involve the Forli, Florence, Catania, Parma, Bari and Lamezia Terme airports.. At these stopovers, from June 4, the following will be added Cagliari, Bergamo and Rome.
The flight plan, operated by the 2 Embraer 190 aircraft, provides routes with different frequency over the week and the greater involvement, as announced, will cover the airports of Catania and Forli which will be linked together with two flights a day, Monday through Friday, and with one flight a day, the Saturday and Sunday. Daily will be the frequency of connections between Catania e Parma, while between Catania e Florence you will fly Monday to Saturday. The airport in Bari will be connected four times a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday) with Parma, Forli and Florence. Three times per week (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays) flights will operate between the airport of Lamezia Terme and those of Forli, Florence e Parma. From June 4, also will start the route between Forli e Cagliari, Friday and Saturday, and the one between Bergamo e Rome, with two flights a day, Monday through Friday, and a flight per day, the Saturday and Sunday.
Two price ranges, with flights from 48.90 euros, for rates JUST GO, and by 98,90 euro for the PRIVATE, which differ mainly by type of place. Both can be customized during the reservation process or at check-in, choosing from the paid ancillaries proposed by the company.
The values and goals
Inclusiveness, attention to the environment, enhancement of the Italian territory and Made in Italy in general are among the values that have guided EGO Airways since its creation. This philosophy has inspired the new carrier both in its choice of staff and in its partnerships with local tour operators. And, of course, it underlies all good practices aimed at reducing The environmental impact of its flights. The latter chapter, in particular, touches on many aspects of onboard service, starting with the packaging of food and beverages: ranging from the choice of one-dish meals to a preference for containers and tableware made of biodegradable and compostable materials, from pulp bowls to clear PLA cups to recycled paper packaging. The decision to be as plastic free as possible is also accompanied by a careful selection of suppliers who can guarantee recycling and separate collection of shipboard waste. Finally, in the even longer-term vision, there is also the goal of being able to reinvest in renewable energy to reduce CO2 emissions to zero.
