From Scarlet Lady, Virgin cruise ship banned for minors, we had told you about here.
After the postponement of the inagural cruise from August 2020 to May 2021, an unmissable opportunity to get on board arrives today. Which one? The "Share in a shipland of love" contest.
How the Scarlet Lady contest works
There is time until March 16, 2021 to try to travel for free aboard the Scarlet Lady. Or rather, for give away the trip To a loved one. No, we are not talking about your mother/sister/friend: we are talking about those who, during the pandemic, stood by the community.
Everyone is asked to name who, among his relatives and friends, is a so-called "essential worker": doctors, nurses, health personnel, delivery workers, supermarket employees, first aid workers, teachers. Too bad that, in Italy, this does not apply. To board the Scarlet Lady, taking advantage of the contest, you must be a resident of Canada (but not Quebec), the United Kingdom (but not Ireland) or the United States. And you must be over 21 years old. Everyone else will have to settle for a "normal" ticket when the ship opens its cabins to everyone.
If, however, you know a doctor who lives in the U.S., a nurse who resides in England, or a cashier who works in Canada, then mention his or her name-you could give him or her a unique experience. To do this you will need to create a video original (no longer than 60 seconds), in which you must explain why the person you nominate deserves one of the 1,000 tickets up for grabs. Winners must book their cruise by September 15, 2021.
The Scarlet Lady's travel program
Ship reserved for adults only, the Scarlet Lady is designed for a relaxing and fun vacation. To be experienced as a single person or with one's sweetheart. Her itinerary? The Caribbean, Covid-19 permitting.
Internationally renowned DJs will be performing on his deck, assuming the pandemic allows, and his calendar is really jaw-dropping: more at the Caribbean, the ship will travel to Cozumel and Playa del Carmen (Riviera Maya), Puerto Plata (Dominican Daze) and Key West (Fire & Sunset Soirées, Scarlet New Year's Ahoy). Prices? From $1,450 (1.77o euros) per person.
Can you go on a cruise now?
Costa Cruises announced to resume travel next March 13, with Costa Smeralda. Whether you choose the 4- or 7-day proposal, theitinerary will still be Italian: Savona, La Spezia, Civitavecchia, Naples, Messina, and Cagliari. Cruises scheduled until March 12 have therefore been canceled. Only those who reside in the orange or yellow zone will be allowed to embark, even if they cross a red zone. And, upon boarding, one will be swabbed.
MSC Cruises has instead restarted, at least as far as Italy is concerned. It is currently possible to board the MSC Grandiosa, with Italian itineraries departing from Naples, Palermo, Genoa and Civitavecchia. The MSC Opera, on the other hand, expects to return to travel to Europe from next April. All passengers will undergo anti-Covid testing before boarding and during the voyage, every 7 days the crew will also be called for testing, a wristband will track contacts, and sanitization operations will be at the highest level.
