It took off this morning from Milan Malpensa airport the 737 of Neos air bound for Fuerteventura. Flight NO6080 marks the reopening of non-essential, i.e., leisure travel.
The project, designed by tour operator Alpitour (owner of Neos), is to create a tourist corridor between Italy and the Canary Islands: passengers board a Covid free flight and can spend a week in one of the group's facilities in the Spanish islands and then safely return to Italy.
In Italy, this is the first attempt to restart the organized vacation industry, which has been deeply affected by the pandemic.
This type of travel fully complies with all security protocols and the Dpcm. In the latest version of the rules wanted by the government, the possibility of travel for inland vacation of European Union countries for all citizens, regardless of the color of the region of residence.
