It is now clear that some of the cuts thought up in the Covid-19 era by airlines to reduce costs will not be restored.

While on-board services such as the showers on Emirates' A380s or the choice to abandon the Gourmet box in favor of traditional service, on the other hand, some carriers have permanently closed some lounges (Alitalia has not reopened any of its waiting rooms).
Today we discuss one of the most exclusive services offered by British Airways in its lounges in London and New York: the Elemis SPAs.
The British airline reopened its main lounges as early as the resumption of flights last summer, and we, here at The Flight Club, had a chance to try both the South Galleries, the one dedicated to business passengers, which the First Galleries, reserved for holders of the level Gold in the BA loyalty program.

Elite passengers could also enjoy the lounges at London Heathrow Airport (in terminals 3 and 5 and the one dedicated to arriving passengers) and at New York JFK (terminal 7).
In recent months the halls were closed and the use of showers was also minimized. Now came the "cold shower": this service will not be restored, as it has been for other companies.
The SPA offered a free massage of about 15 minutes to all business and first class passengers in addition to Gold status holders in the Executive Club.
In conclusion
Before the pandemic, finding a free "hole" for a massage was very difficult, I think that even in this the Covid represents only an excuse to cut service. Personally, I found BA's proposal inferior to that of other airlines such as Emirates in its Dubai lounge or Virgin Airways in its London Heathrow clubhouse.
On the flip side, it must be said, BA's lounges, even in the Covid era, offer a truly level of service.
