Five years after the announcement, the historic Nani Palace, built in the 1500s, will finally open as a hotel, but surprisingly it will not be under the IHG group, but will belong to the Radisson family.
The historic building overlooking the Canal of Cannaregio is finally preparing to welcome tourists after a five-year makeover. Announced in 2016 as Intercontinental Venice was supposed to become the first IHG facility in the lagoon and instead today, this time without any hype or announcement, here is the news.
Palazzo Nani will represent a first, however, as it will also be a debut for Radisson among the Venetian calli. The 51 rooms of this 16th-century palace will be part of the Radisson Collection Hotel Palazzo Nani Venice.
The facility offers standard rooms from 24sqm up to the 64sqm Presidential Suite, many of which overlook the city's canals.
In addition to meeting rooms, the hotel also has a restaurant the Zoja, named after the owners of the 1500s palace.
It is scheduled to open in late August, with room prices starting at around €400. Loyalty program members Radisson Rewards can take advantage of reserved rates.
At the moment it has not yet been published the hotel category, but it is likely to be in the highest, i.e., 7, with a cost starting at 70k points per night.
A new addition to the many options that the city of Venice offers for those who want to spend a Stay in luxury facilities.
