This lounge was opened in 2015, when Air Serbia joined the Etihad galaxy, around the same time the Abu Dhabi carrier was experimenting with expansion by entering the capital of Alitalia and Air Berlin.
What's new is that as of April 12, this lounge, which was only accessible to the company's premium passengers, is instead open to all cardholders priority pass, loungekey and lounge pass.
Access
As mentioned, as of less than two weeks ago, you can enter this lounge if you travel in business with Air Serbia, and the same applies to holders of major cards that give access to VIP lounges worldwide.
In addition, Air Serbia recently signed an agreement that will offer Fly Dubai and Emirates passengers access to the Premium Lounge, and as of April 1, this benefit is also available to Qatar Airways passengers.
The Lounge is open daily from 5:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and is located in the transit area between gates A4 and A5 in Terminal 2.
The hall
It is not a very large hall, nearly 100 seats (due to Covid-19 currently even fewer), but considering the traffic at this airport it is adequate for the needs of passengers.
On the occasion of my passage, the airport was virtually deserted despite the booming vaccination tourism that brought Serbia on home pages around the world.
Food & Beverage
Due to Covid the service is changed: no buffet and only table service. But I did not encounter any problems since the lounge was practically deserted.
An a la carte menu is available to visitors. Predominantly sandwiches, salads and fries are offered. It is not much, but still a sufficient offering.
On a positive note, there is a real coffee bar inside and not the hideous train station-style coffee machines. I must say that the cappuccino was excellent.
In conclusion
Yet another demonstration of how Covid is just an excuse for some airlines (like Alitalia) to keep their lounges closed. Air Serbia is trying to get back on its feet after being abandoned by Etihad, and the open lounge is a very good sign.
