Match status is valid for 120 days instead of the usual 90
This means that you will have an extra month to complete the challenge and, very interestingly, you will be able to define the start date of the challenge yourself. So it will be important to look closely at your flight schedule to get the most out of it.
How the challenge works
In this case, it is necessary to fly with United to receive status: depending on the level required, a different number of flights and qualifying points will need to be completed.
To maintain Premier status matched for the rest of the year in the 2021 program, you will need to earn a certain number of Premier qualifying flights (PQF) and Premier qualifying points (PQP) on flights operated by United or United Express® within 120 days. The number of PQFs and PQPs you must earn depends on the Premier status level you are matched to in MileagePlus.
If you are a Ulysses member you will have access to the Silver level, with Freccia Alata you will automatically be Gold, and finally with CFP Alitalia you will have the opportunity to become Platinum.

Details of the challenge
Through this offer, you will not be able to qualify for a higher Premier elite level than you are matched to in MileagePlus. For example, if you are matched to Premier Silver, you will not be able to earn Premier Gold status, even if you fly more than the required 6 FFPs and earn more than 2,000 FFPs on flights operated by United or United Express during the promo period.
However, you will be able to qualify at a higher status level if you reach one of the published qualifying thresholds for Premier status.
After meeting the PQF and PQP requirements to maintain Premier Platinum status through this offer, members will receive 20 PlusPoints, which will be credited to their account within 7-10 business days. Premier members can earn 40 PlusPoints if they meet all published standard qualification requirements for Premier Platinum status and 280 PlusPoints if they meet all published standard qualification requirements for Premier 1K® status.
If you are unable to complete the PQF and PQP requirements within the 120-day offer period, your matched MileagePlus Premier status will expire and you may revert to a lower earned Premier level, or general membership status, at United's sole discretion.
