L'Address Beach Resort has a huge infinity pool, towering above the city sky. Its height? 293.906 meters. Almost as high as the Eiffel Tower, more than any other pool in the world (the record was previously held by Singapore's Marina Bay Sands, with its 191-meter pool).

At 98.84 meters long and 16.5 meters wide, the pool at Address Beach Resort is twice as long as an Olympic-size pool. And it matters little, whether you want to stay poolside to enjoy the view or treat yourself to long strokes: once in a lifetime, a stay here should be booked (not least because, prices, are less prohibitive than you might think).

The pool is open only to hotel guests, as long as they are over 21 years old, but everyone can reserve a table at the Asian restaurant next door (the Zeta Seventy Beach, named after the floor on which it is located) to partake in the view.

And it is precisely the suspension bridge, to set another record: it is in fact the highest in the world and houses luxurious apartments. The property across the street, the Jumeirah Gate, opened last December. And it is among the skyscrapers of the new Dubai.

They range from the Deluxe Marina View Room with king-size bed, to the Three Bedroom Presidential Suite with beds for 5 adults and 2 children. Children up to age 4 stay for free. Prices? The cheapest solution ranges from 221 euros per night in August to 1,130 euros in the peak season (Christmas to New Year's), with an average of 450 euros if one assumes going to Dubai when the heat is not stifling (around November). Sleeping in the presidential suite, for two, can cost just over 500 euros. Provided, however, that you go in the off-season.

Can you go to Dubai today?

The answer is: no. Currently, the United Arab Emirates is in Group E - Rest of the World: it is therefore only possible to travel there for work, health, study, absolute urgency, return to one's home, dwelling or residence. Travel for tourism is therefore not allowed.
