The light at the end of the tunnel, judging by the dynamism of all global carriers, would seem to be getting brighter and brighter. In recent days we have seen La Compagnie announce the new connection with New York, then Singapore the return to Rome and now here is one of the most anticipated new features, at least for lovers of theAirbus A380.
From July 1, the daily connection between Dubai and Rome will be operated with the emirate airline's flagship aircraft, one of the few that has not decided to retire the double-decker and the one that has the largest fleet of A380s (delivery of the last 3 examples produced of this model before the assembly line is repurposed to produce "simple" A320neo).
In recent months, routes to both Milan and Rome were operated aboard smaller 777/300s. And Italy was one of the few European destinations where EK had not brought back the giant of the skies, which instead has been flying again for months to half of Europe.
We will hardly see the new A380 any time soon, the one that on board offers premium economy as well. Where business class travelers can spend time at the bar and the first class passengers take a shower while taking advantage of one of the most exclusive (and rarest) benefits aboard a commercial flight.
This news also means more award seat availability for Italian travelers heading not only to Dubai, but also to one of the many destinations served by Emirates such as Phuket, which, just as of July 1, will reopen doors to tourists from all over the world.
