Hilton announced the opening of theHilton Maldives Amingiri. It will be the fourth resort in the company's portfolio of brands in the Maldives after Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi, Conrad Maldives Rangali Island and SAii Lagoon Maldives, Curio Collection by Hilton. Hilton Maldives Amingiri will mark the entry of the flagship Hilton Hotels & Resorts brand to the Maldives.

Hilton Introduces Hilton Maldives Amingiri
The hotel, which is expected to open by the end of 2021, will consist of the following 109 well-spaced beach and water villas. Each villa will have a private pool. Also present is an exclusive six-bedroom property. The intent is to create a space for travelers to reunite with loved ones in an iconic destination. A way to celebrate the return to travel after more than a year of a medical emergency. Amenities at the resort will include a swimming pool, spa, fitness center and salon. The hotel is located on the island of Amingiri in the Male Atoll and is a 15 minutes by speedboat from Velana Airport in the Maldives, the main one on the island.

"Maldives remains one of the world's most desirable destinations and the signing of Hilton Maldives Amingiri reflects the excellent growth potential we see in the market," said Guy Phillips, senior vice president of Hilton. Guests can enjoy a wide range of dining options in the Six restaurants and bars in the resort, where they can enjoy delicious dishes throughout their stay. Among them, three particular locations were revealed:
- Habitat is the all-day dining restaurant that celebrates international cuisines inspired by cultures ranging from the Mediterranean to Southeast Asia. After a delicious breakfast served in the morning and a tasty lunch, guests can experience themed evenings;
- Re-Fuel, on the other hand, is an area reserved for teens where younger guests can enter through a secret speakeasy-style entrance. The rooftop terrace is a quiet oasis where teens can relax. A dedicated bar will serve a menu curated specifically to meet the needs and desires of visitors;
- The adults-only EDEN bar, on the other hand, will specialize in champagne and gin drinks in a highly personalized and intimate setting where guests can celebrate special occasions to watch the Maldivian sunset.

The Maldives tops the wish list of many travelers and is also one of the most exclusive destinations on the planet. This has prompted the Hilton brand to increase its presence in the territory. The new Amingiri stands as a direct competitor with other large hotel chains, including Marriott (which has six hotels in the Maldives and will open a seventh in September), Hyatt and IHG which has three facilities (the InterContinental Maldives Maamunagau Resort, the Holiday Inn Resort Kandooma Maldives, and the Six Senses Laamu).
Expected rates for the Hilton Maldives Amingiri have not yet been released, but the property appears to be targeting a diverse audience and large families who can take advantage of every corner of the resort. Guy Phillips, Hilton senior vice president for development, said, "Maldives remains one of the world's most desirable destinations and the signing of Hilton Maldives Amingiri reflects the excellent growth potential we see in the market.
