Reopenings continue, a bit around the world. And the list of countries where Italians can go is bound to get longer. Because, if a slice of the planet Is determined to ask for the vaccination certificate, another decided to "copy" the rules of the European Green Pass.

Now, here is also Morocco and Tunisia reopen to tourism. Both destinations, very popular with Italians, have decided to reopen their borders without introducing any vaccine requirements. Let's find out all the rules together.

Traveling in Tunisia today

The rules, in Tunisia, have changed since last June 1. Since that day, travelers who have completed the vaccination cycle and who have already been given both doses of the serum, may enter the country Without having to undergo the PCR test (as long as they present the certificate with QR code). Even those who are cured of Covid-19 in the previous 6 weeks, presenting a certificate of recovery, will be exempted. Those who do not meet these conditions, and are over 12 years old, will instead have to undergo PCR testing within 72 hours prior to boarding. If not, he or she will have to observe a 7-day self-isolation upon arrival in Tunisia.

These rules also apply to Italian tourists, whether they arrive individually or with organized travel. When they arrive in Tunisia, they will have to stay in groups and travel in tourist vehicles, following the rules provided by the government to curb and prevent contagion. It is not excluded that they will be subjected to sample testing, to assess their actual negativity to Sars CoV-2. Also because, at the level of vaccines, Tunisia is not at a very good point: the vaccination of a large group of workers in the tourism sector, including hotel and restaurant workers, tour guides and various operators of the main tourist resorts, has only begun in recent days.

Traveling in Morocco Today

Like Tunisia. Morocco on June 15 reopens to international tourism. However, PCR testing carried out within 48 hours prior to arrival in the country is mandatory. From Italy, flights by major airlines will resume to Casablanca, Marrakech, Fez, Tangier and Rabat, with other destinations soon to be added.

As of July 31, however, Italy will be placed on the A list. And, those who have been vaccinated will no longer have to show a negative PCR test but only the certificate of vaccination with QR codes. Once in the village, you will find restaurants, bars and health clubs open. A mask must be worn, entry and exit routes are separate, and you are always subjected to temperature control. You must leave from Italy with an already active reservation (choosing from the "Welcome Safely" certified facilities) and it is also advisable to book entry to museums and cultural sites in advance. The curfew, at present, is 11 p.m.

Since Morocco and Tunisia are reopening to tourism, a week of relaxation in Djerba and a stroll through the streets of Marrakech are once again possible. Gifting one more step toward a return to normalcy.
