As summer approaches and a slow reopening of borders, falling infection rates and loosening travel restrictions are prompting more and more people to return to travel. In response to increased bookings, Lufthansa is taking advantage of this opportunity to reopen the Lufthansa First Class Lounge in Terminal 1 at Frankfurt Airport as of yesterday, June 1.
The lounge offers an exclusive and comfortable place to relax while travelers wait for their departure. The range of products offered in the lounges has been adapted to current regulations. Currently, food and beverage consumption is only allowed outside the lounge. A takeaway offering is available in the First Class Lounge, with a good selection of food and beverages. As soon as official regulations permit, the popular á la carte service will also resume.
First Class guests can now also enjoy the usual personalized service. In addition, customers of Lufthansa can already access some lounges in Germany and abroad, such as New York City. More will gradually reopen in the coming weeks. The First Class Terminal and related limousine service will also be made available again soon. A number of measures, such as keeping your distance and wearing a mouth and nose cover, ensure that staying in the lounge meets high standards of safety and hygiene.
The A380 fleet is grounded and is not expected to be reactivated until early 2022. This means that if you want to fly first class with the German airline, you need to look for routes operated with the iconic 747.
