Bookings opened on Tuesday, June 1, for the MSC World Europa, the newest addition to the MSC Cruises.
"MSC World Europa marks the beginning of a new era for cruising. The new flagship combines futuristic technologies, revolutionary design to offer our guests an even higher level of cruise experience," commented Pierfrancesco Vago, the company's president.
Although reservations are already open, the MSC World Europa will not set sail until 2022. It will be in the United Arab Emirates during the winter of 2022/2023 and then, in March 2023, move to the Mediterranean Sea. Here it will take tourists to discover Europe, with 7-night cruises between Genoa, Naples and Messina, Malta, Barcelona and Marseille.
What we know about MSC World Europa
Currently under construction at Chantiers de l'Atlantique in Saint-Nazaire, the MSC World Europa is a futuristic ship. And she is the progenitor of the MSC World Class. Its primary feature? Cutting-edge technologies for an even richer on-board experience. Those who designed it speak of "ship of the future", from the unprecedented Y shape to new air filters for an increasingly green way of traveling. In fact, the MSC World Europa is the company's first ship to be fueled by LNG, thus marking an important step toward a zero-emission tomorrow.
Its design seems made to impress. L'Europa Promenade, 104 meters long, gives a breathtaking view of the sea. One part is completely open, the other is covered by a Led screen with spectacular light effects. But, what really makes it special is The Spiral: it is located right here the longest dry slide in the sea, a giant spiral descending across 11 bridges.
Inside MSC World Europa there is room for all kinds of activities. There are the stores and bars, the adults-only Zen area and a child-friendly family space. And then the MSC Aurea Spa, 1012 square meters of Balinese spa with spa and gym area, beauty salon and hair salon. Not forgetting the members-only MSC Yacht Club, which has unlimited access to the Thermal Suite and a butler on call 24/24.

The cabins resemble luxurious suites, starting with the Owner's Suite with its 104 square meters and private hot tub. Entertainment is pushed to an advanced level: The water park is the largest in the fleet, but there are also VR technology water slides and event spaces. Then food and beverage, with 13 dining outlets, six of which are themed. Chef's Garden Kitchen will serve savory microgreens, La Pescaderia grills fish, Hola! Tacos & Cantina Latin American street food. Three real novelties, alongside Butcher's Cut steakhouse and Kaito Teppanyaki Grill and Sushi Bar.
And in the evening? The Masters of the Sea Pub is The first craft brewer on board a cruise. But it will also be possible to drink signature cocktails at Elixir - Mixology Bar, teas, gins and freshly made juices.
The MSC World Europa, named for plans named after European capitals, will debut in the United Arab Emirates with cruises between Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Qatar (2 to 25 nights). It will later move to the Mediterranean for cruises within reach of Italy.
