The Garden Inn in Novoli, a neighborhood on the outskirts of Florence, is one of two facilities belonging to the Hilton family in the Tuscan capital. The other is the Florence Metropole in San Bartolo a Cintoia, a 15-story building 57 meters high.
Reservation
To take advantage of the current promotion Which allows you to accumulate up to three times as many points Hilton Honors one must make reservations through official channels.
From the app you can access all the different room types and consequently also the different rates that can include breakfast, half board or. what I prefer. The X2 rate that allows you to double the points you accumulate with the reservation, in addition to those provided by the elite status one holds.

Location and check-in
The Garden Inn is located in the Novoli neighborhood, less than 5 minutes from Amerigo Vespucci Airport, in front of the Palace of Justice and the immense city park that surrounds it.
One of the benefits of Gold Hilton status holders is to count on room type upgrades, which I was recognized for and which allowed me to stay in a second floor room with a private terrace overlooking San Donato Park.
The hotel is less than 10 minutes from downtown and has underground parking with direct access to the floors.
The room
The room at 100% reflects the Hilton style, spacious and equipped with everything expected of Garden Inn family hotels.
King size bed, very comfortable mattress and 4 pillows of different textures, impossible not to find the perfect one to sleep on.
Plenty of space to work in the room as well with a large desk and a very comfortable chair. Of course, there is no shortage of free, high-performance wi-fi.
The private terrace is definitely a plus, as is the view of the park. At any time of the day or night it gives tranquility and allows you to relax after a long day wandering the streets of the city center.
The bathroom is not the most modern, but it is spacious and equipped with everything one would look for in such a facility.
The room was sealed with the classic sticker identifying the clean stay protocol-the activities designed by Hilton to ensure the safety of its guests. In addition to this, bagged remote control, gels and wipes in every corner of the room.
The common spaces
The lobby and ground-floor spaces are modern and tastefully furnished, very bright thanks to large windows.
Breakfast
The hotel restaurant has a private porch. Being able to have breakfast outside early in the morning, especially on one of the first real days of summer, was definitely the best thing about my stay.
We know full well that in the "new world" there are no longer breakfast buffets, and this hotel has adapted to this new normal. You choose from the buffet, but you are served at the table by the attendant staff.
In conclusion
Great location if you arrive in Florence by car and from here you move by public transport or if you want to travel by car being very careful of the ZTL zones, which are unforgiving in this city. It is not in the center, so it is not suitable for those who arrive by train and want to stay in a facility that allows you to wander around the city on foot. In any case, it is definitely a worthwhile hotel especially if you are looking to combine the useful (visiting Florence) with the enjoyable (accumulating points)
