The twice-weekly connection from Genoa to Tirana departed today. With a festive ceremony at the embarkation area of theGenoa "Cristoforo Colombo" Airport was welcomed the aircraft Wizz Air's Airbus A320, symbolically greeted by an auspicious water arch.
Paolo Odone, president of the airport, and Honorary Consul of Albania Giuseppe Durazzo, in the presence of the other top management of the Genoa Airport Company and all departing passengers, cut the ribbon to mark the moment that adds an important piece to the closeness between the two countries and testifies to Wizz Air's commitment in developing its Italian network and making travel accessible, at affordable prices, for a growing number of travelers. Wizz Air began flying to the Boot in 2004 and has since carried more than 40 million passengers to and from Italy on its more than 200 routes.
