Canada reopens to Italians, and beyond. The first opening, on August 9, will be for the Americans. It will be followed by the September 7 the rest of the world, including Italy.
However, it will not be a true return to the past. First, because the government has reserved the option to retrace its steps if the contagions worsen. Secondly, because the country will be able to enter only vaccinated tourists.

Canada reopens: all the rules
Canada thus reopens for Americans, first and foremost. As of midnight on Monday, August 9, vaccinated Americans. However, it is currently unclear whether they will be able to visit attractions and monuments, as the government has not clarified whether it will be the responsibility of the operators to monitor compliance with the requirements.

We look forward to welcoming fully vaccinated Americans soon, followed by travelers from the rest of the world in early September," commented Omar Alghabra, Canada's Minister of Transport.
Currently, the airports that allow international flights (for the few allowed to enter Canada) are only those in Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, and Calgary. Starting August 9, you will also be able to land at Halifax Stanfield International Airport, Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport, Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport, Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport, and Edmonton International Airport.
What about the United States?
Those who expected reciprocity, however, were disappointed. As it did with respect to Europe when it reopened to the Americans in early June, the United States has not reciprocated. And, for the time being, they have not announced the reopening of the border with Canada.
However, in recent days Biden has opened a very small window of opportunity. During a joint press conference with Angela Merkel, Has promised to speed up the reopening of borders with Europe.
