The same applies, for example, to someone who decides to fly to Mexico, where infection figures are high, spend two weeks in Cancun by the sea and then leave to spend Ferragosto in Miami or Los Angeles.
Europe opened to US citizens and demanded reciprocity, which is not happening and should lead the European Union to close its doors and send all departing travelers home.
