It has not been the summer everyone expected, the summer of the end of restrictions, and this has severely affected airlines and passengers.
The inability for EU citizens to move freely to the United States and much of the East has made it, almost, impossible to fly enough to renew statuses. That is why the Lufthansa Group also. decided to extend all statuses expiring in February 2022 until the same month in 2023.
With an email all those enrolled in the Miles&More program of Swiss, Austrian, Brussels, and, of course, parent company Lufthansa have been told that they will see their expiration dates updated in the coming months. This initiative cumulates with the one launched in February in which the German group offered, to all passengers, double miles for all flights in 2021.
The First Class terminal in Frankfurt, the facility dedicated solely to the most exclusive class passengers on the German carrier's flights, will also reopen on Sept. 1.
In addition to the terminal, lounges scattered around the world are also being reopened, with the goal of reaching pre-pandemic status by fall.
The German company is not the first to make this decision; there are plenty of carriers that During 2021 they have already announced the renewal to all frequent flyers of status and miles, a way not to lose loyal customers in these difficult times.
