Access to the Lounge
Free access to the Prima Vista Cagliari Lounge is granted to Business Class passengers of AirFrance, Air Italy, KLM, Iberia, S7 Airlines; Dragon Pass, Lounge Pass holders, Priority Pass, Lounge Key and to members of Diners Club and Lounge Club.
For all other passengers, Lounge access costs 20 euros for adults and 10 euros for babies and children up to the age of sixteen. Children under two years of age get in for free.
Location and services
A little less than two years ago, the Prima Vista VIP Lounge opened, a 250-square-meter lounge located on the upper floor, immediately to the left past the baggage check counters.
The Lounge is little advertised and not very easy to find, not being precisely in the gate area, but perhaps this also means that it is not very busy, which allows for a high level of relaxation compared to other lounges. It is composed of 4 small lounges with extremely comfortable leather sofas and armchairs with a corresponding large and comfortable coffee table, should one also want to use a computer or simply use it as a tabletop for plates or glasses. In addition to the lounges there is a "business" counter for those who want to take advantage of the break to continue working on the computer, equipped with several power outlets precisely to facilitate the use of various devices.
The lounge also has a separate meeting room, which is currently being set up. If necessary, by asking the staff first, it can still be used to make business calls without disturbing others present. To be considered, since it is "under construction," it is not currently equipped with amenities such as a table and chairs. A flight board is present so that you can keep up to date with your flight and not risk missing it if you relax too much. Of note is the presence of the smoking area, an outdoor terrace, which allows those who wish to get some air or smoke a cigarette not to have to move except a few meters away from their seat.
Food & Drink
The Food&Drink area is small, but fairly well stocked with soft drinks and alcohol available to customers, a multi-product coffee machine, which makes good coffee, definitely above average compared to other machines found in other airport lounges. It is self-service, you can refill both the food and drinks yourself. Depending on the time slot when you frequent the lounge, you will find breakfast items, single-serving meals for lunch and dinner as well as containers with Sardinian sweets divided by type. Despite its small size, it is a good lounge with above-average amenities and above all a high level of relaxation.
Another noteworthy point of the lounge is the toilets, located immediately after the entrance door, but separate from the "relaxation" area. Toilets are large and always spotlessly clean.
In conclusion
When you consider that there are no open lounges at Fiumicino and Malpensa, and those that are open are not accessible to Priority Pass holders, that's already a plus point for this lounge. Overall plus points are the courteous staff, the smoking terrace, and the modern decor. The food&beverage set-up is too basic, but probably when you return to the former world, things will improve.
