In recent months we have seen almost all carriers protect their frequent flyers with the Extension of statuses for 2021 as well, and this is another example.
The world is not back to what it used to be, and travel bans have prevented companies from flying full planes and passengers from traveling as before. Today Virgin Atlantic, the London-based company, announced that all Flying Club members will enjoy a new extension of elite status validity by an additional 6 months.

We would just like to inform you that we are Automatically extending your Flying Club status for another six months, giving you more time to earn the Tier points needed to maintain your loyalty benefits. We will also extend any upgrade vouchers, companion tickets or the our incredible clubhouse, so there is no need to worry about them expiring before then.
Don't forget, all bookings include unlimited free dates and flight changes until April 30, 2023, for even more flexibility for your travel plans. Plus, with award-winning health and safety, you can be sure you'll fly safely and well with us.
