Slow and steady wins the race. This is the life philosophy of the turtle. The ground ones have an average speed of 0.3 km/h and they really live a lot, think that the oldest and healthiest turtle in the world is found at the Seychelles, is called Jonathan and arrived at the ripe old age of 188 years old!
In this article:
Diametrically opposed, however, is the life philosophy of a plane of airliner taking off that has to go anything but slow to soar through the sky, the speed varies between 250 and the 290 km/h Before coming off the ground.
But what do these two "speed" champions have to do with each other?
Well we are at Narita International Airport, in Tokyo, Japan, where a turtle decided to challenge the planes, making a "jog" on the track.
This little joke even caused the delay Of the flight that was about to depart from that runway and consequently of the other 4 planes who were in tail.
Here's the turtle caught hanging out on the runway:
This is the turtle that wandered onto the runway at Narita airport yeah, halting the flight of a turtle painted aircraft

The small beast 30 centimeters long and 2 kilograms in weight was saved By the airport staff who fortunately spotted the animal before the plane approached endangering it.
The little turtle was blissfully taking a walk at the expense of the passengers of the 5 flights who had to wait a quarter of an hour before they could continue to travel safely.
The track has been closed for 10 minutes and in the country where trains split the second is not the best... The paradox funniest of all is that one of the planes that was about to take off was from the All Nippon Airways and had an image of a green sea turtle drawn on the fuselage, in true Hawaiian style.
ANA's special A380 design is dedicated to the Hawaii, where sea turtles are a symbol of good luck and are respected and protected.
Three planes were painted with this special livery (one green, one blue and one orange) to celebrate the new connection between Tokyo and Honolulu. Blue represents the sky, emerald green the sea, and finally orange the Hawaiian sunset.
Here is the entire painting process of this special livery:
The delay Of the flight was seen as good omen By passengers heading to Hawaii, nothing serious then!
The turtle was saved by staff and was subsequently handed over to the animal protection who will be responsible for releasing it into its natural habitat; however, it is presumed to have come out of a pond near the airport runways.
Definitely a sympathetic story, which rightfully enters the our collection of funny stories!
