Then aviation evolved, flights got multiplied and taking the plane was no longer something for the few, but even a routine for many. Subsequently it went from a thousand boarding passes, passport or ID card, to the electronic ticket on the cell phone, an added convenience and safeguard for the environment.
Now AirAsia seems to be taking it a step further with thepassport elimination, as well as the paper ticket: in order to travel, a simple QR Code, how? We will explain it to you!
FACES AirAsia: here's how it works
AirAsia aims to improve as much as possible theContactless experience and dramatically decrease the waiting time at the various checkpoints where you have to show your ticket and passport.
With FACES, all you need to do is set up before the trip the biometric scanning via app, associate the passport and ticket and that's it! At check-in, baggage drop-off and at the gate simply show the QR code generated by the app and we will have the go-ahead.
Basically, through the app, we we associate our face with the document we load and we will no longer need to show our passport. For the final verification will need to go only once to the information desk to attest to the correct association and that's it.
Through the app, one can also register the ticket, so that through a single QR code we will have the ID and ticket available, greatly speeding up the process at the airport.

Who knows if we will also see this technology implemented in other airports and with other airlines...there is to say that we are now in 2022 and the digitization of companies should be the norm.
Speaking of Asia, here are the reopenings of Thailand, Singapore and Bali
Since mid-October, Indonesia has decided to reopen its wonderful Bali to tourists who have completed the vaccination cycle, will suffice to have insurance that covers any treatment for Covid-19, negative test on arrival, and quarantine 5-day mandatory.

Even Singapore as early as late October had reopened to Italian tourists, no quarantine requirement or restriction, it is enough to have completed the vaccination cycle for at least 14 days and follow the VLT protocol, viz. Vaccinated Travel Lanes. Ready to get going again?
