What will change
Singapore Airlines has always been a carrier with only long-haul aircraft in its fleet, then in 2018 due to bankruptcy of its subsidiary Silk Air, absorbed the aircraft that were used for that airline's low-cost routes, repainting them with the iconic Singapore livery.

So far, however, the cabin has remained as it was with Silk Air, which is a wider seat for business passengers and the classic 737 seat for everyone else.
With an investment of more than $200 million, the company's wants to ensure the same experience for all passengers, from long-haul to short-haul throughout the entire Singapore Airlines network.
All of SIA's 737-8s will have 154 seats in two classes, 10 in Business Class and 144 in Economy Class, with new cabin products featuring bespoke elements designed specifically for the SIA customer.
Business Class reclining seats were designed by London-based Factorydesign and manufactured for Singapore Airlines by Thompson Aero Seating. The Economy Class cabin will feature sleek and slim state-of-the-art seats built by Collins Aerospace.
The aircraft is equipped with Panasonic's X-series IFE, which allows all customers to enjoy the latest KrisWorld entertainment content. The fleet is also equipped with Panasonic's in-flight Wi-Fi and mobile data connectivity services.
What the new business cabin will look like
The 10 seats will be spread over 3 rows; row 1 and 3 will have two seats on each side, while row 2 will feature a single seat, what industry enthusiasts call the throne.
As is the case on TAP's A321, two passengers can be more comfortable and enjoy more privacy by having the same space that, in other rows, is allocated to two seats. Hence the nickname "throne."
The change on board is and impressive and, of course, the throne will be the most coveted seat on the entire plane.
How the economy cabin changes
Even the tourist class cabin will be all new with more comfortable seats and in-flight entertainment system, which is absent for all today. A definite step of improvement for all short-haul flights connecting from Singapore to destinations such as Phuket and other destinations in the Asian region, where the more capacious A350s are not used. All passengers will be able to then use wi-fi, make phone calls aboard planes, and have access to the latest version of the IFE with hundreds of movies, TV series, and other content so you won't get bored while traveling.
