Thailand's borders are about to reopen almost completely and the news announced by the Asian state's national airline is very interesting for all travelers to Bangkok and other affected cities, as the lounges in Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Phuket will be open to Priority Pass holders.
Thai is not the only company that, in search of money, has decided to open its lounges. It has also done so Lufthansa with its American lounges., as well as the ANA Japanese company.
I have never had the opportunity to visit Thai's lounges, certainly, however, the lounges dedicated to domestic flights are not up to the standard of the one dedicated to intercontinental flights.
I had a chance to see the one present in the Phuket stopover: it is nothing special and I really think that the Coral Lounge is able to offer better service Also considering the location. The Thai lounge is on the second floor of the terminal and does not overlook the runway. In contrast, the Coral is much larger and also has a terrace where you can go to observe the planes and movements on the runway.
In conclusion
I should be returning to Phuket shortly, so I will experience this novelty. If it is not a thrilling experience, I can always move to the Coral Lounge, where I have been several times before and where it is possible to have a fresh, thirst-quenching coconut before boarding the plane.
Return to Milan postponed
Unfortunately, however, flights from Milan to Thailand, the only direct connection between the two countries, have not resumed.
