American Express' travel portal
American Express' dedicated travel booking site allows people to book flights, hotels, car rentals and vacation packages. American Express Platinum cardholders, through this site, have access to the promotions such as Fine Hotels & Resorts and the International Airline Program. The portal, not the most beautiful or functional one must admit, is open to every user, even those who are not Amex customers. This is also the portal where the voucher you receive can be spent each year as an American Express Gold cardholder.
The special feature of an Amex card is that it allows, depending on the card held, to earn bonus points beyond the nomal accumulation of 1 point for every euro spent.

Purchasing a stay or car rental on American Express Travel will allow all Membership Rewards program members to accumulate 9 additional MR points than the standard set by the card, for a total of 10 MR points, on every euro spent until June 30, 2022.
This means that with a hotel stay worth for example, of 1,000 euros you will be able to accumulate as many as 10 thousand Membership Rewards points to be transformed in turn into other opportunities, thanks to the many partners available.
