It is always possible for a member of a loyalty program to buy points, but it is never convenient. Cyclically, however, airlines and hotel chains launch promotions that allow you to get Strong bonuses in terms of price discount or extra points. How to tell if it is worth buying points
There are mainly two reasons for this:
- You have a good number of HHonors points and want to quickly get the missing points in order to make the reservation
- When the expenditure for the purchase of points, is less than the expenditure required for the same cash reservation
It is good to remember that unlike with prize tickets, even award nights contribute to the achievement of the status and that all extra expenses incurred during the stay allow you to accumulate points as in traditional reservations.
In addition, if you have a status in the program, such as the Gold level which is included in the annual American Express Platinum fee, you will receive all the benefits provided, such as free breakfast and, if available, room upgrades.
Finally, it is worth mentioning that the Honors program allows members of a family to pool their points by allowing them to make a cumulative reservation.
