A little less than a year later, and with the Restrictions on going to Singapore getting lighter and lighter, the Asian city-state carrier announced. The end of the connection between Rome and Copenhagen launched last July.
The fifth freedom connection was a way to maintain the ability to fly from Rome to Singapore via the capital of Denmark. The company, again from Italy, also operates a second intra-EU link connecting Milan with Barcelona.
When will the Rome Copenhagen flight end
Until the end of May it will continue regularly and will be operated 5 times a week. The last takeoff from Denmark to Rome of flight SQ352 will be on May 31, the last trip of SQ351 from Rome to Copenhagen will take off the following day (June 1).
However, this is not a farewell: the June 3 regular nonstop connections between Rome and Singapore will resume. Singapore Airlines will restore its dedicated non-stop service with SQ366/365 flights from June 3, three times a week, again with A350/900s.
In conclusion
The aviation world is trying to return to normalcy, with the restrictions virtually lifted and more and more countries in Asia and beyond (see Australia), reopened to tourism.
It makes sense for Singapore Airlines to resume its pre-pandemic routes, in part to take advantage of the fact that Cathay Pacific, its bitterest rival, has completely stalled due to continuing restrictions in Hong Kong. A situation that is allowing to the Star Alliance carrier to gain significant market share.

Italy, however, loses a connection short-range aboard one of the world's best aircraft. For those who want to try it, also using KrisFlyer points, there are still 3 months left to book.
