The list of governments is getting longer and longer. who have chosen the beginning of next month as the day for the return to normal travel, and the hope is that this is not a huge April Fool's joke.

Today Singapore was also added to the list who officiated the farewell to the Vaccinated Travel Lane protocol. Since last fall, this procedure allowed travelers to enter the Asian city-state following a pattern that changed over time as the pandemic and variants evolved.
What changes from April 1
It must be remembered that unlike what some countries such as the United Kingdom have decided, this change will only apply to fully vaccinated travelers and exclusively for arrivals after 3 a.m. on April 1.

The first major change is that you will be able to enter Singapore from any country, only excluded are travelers with a 7-day travel history to one of the countries on the "Restricted" list, which is currently empty. Thus, there will also no longer be a requirement to fly on a LTV route and one can arrive by any carrier.
- It is not necessary to have received booster or IV dose
- Children 12 years of age or younger are exempt from mandatory vaccination
- Short-term visitors Will no longer have to apply for a Vaccinated Travel Pass (VTP)
- Short-term visitors will have need travel insurance, with a minimum coverage of 30,000 S$
- The SG Arrival card (for all travelers) will be simplified
Regarding the swabs/tests to be performed, currently the requirement to take a PCR swab within 2 days of departure or ART in the previous 24h remains. However, all tests on arrival and thus the requirement for isolation pending receipt of the swab result are cancelled. It is likely that the pre-departure buffer will be removed by the end of April effectively returning to a situation of total normalcy.
In conclusion
Southeast Asia is now well on its way to fully reopening its borders, the constraint of compulsory insurance remains, and we strongly recommend taking advantage of that free of charge included in a credit card, such as the American Express Platinum. It was already recommended before, now it is even more so: risking being positive abroad could cost thousands of euros, on top of all the complexity of having to manage a medical emergency outside Italy.
Thanks to direct flights from Milan and Rome and the ultra-discounted rates of many companies, now is the best time to go to the this part of the world, now uncrowded and ready to welcome tourists back like never before.
