Flagship Valor is the new livery unveiled by American Airlines for its aircraft, made in honor of American heroes and war veterans.
It will be called Flagship Valor the new special livery made by American Airlines for its aircraft-a tribute by the U.S. airline to the many American soldiers who have been engaged in war over the years.
An initiative, therefore, that is not only about a simple novelty of aircraft design, but also a recognition of the sacrifice of so many people, in a country historically very active in military missions around the world. Just think of the last 20 years and the U.S. intervention in Afghanistan and Iraq.
American Airlines' new Flagship Valor livery.
The Fort Worth-based company has always been very Committed to patriotic initiatives on behalf of veterans U.S. Army. It financially supports annual events dedicated to them and makes its fleet available for some special missions. Thus, last March 25, in the Medal of Honor day, the highest military decoration awarded by the U.S. government, American Airlines unveiled its new livery in Arlington, Texas location near Fort Worth.
The Flagship Valor design adorned an Airbus A321, an aircraft over 44 meters in length, accommodating up to 244 passengers and mainly used for short to medium-range routes. All three variants of the Medal of Honor are featured on the side: the Army's, the Navy's and the Air Force's. The aircraft depicts major military conflicts and the six characteristics that embody the Medal of Honor and those who received it. On board, customers can scan QR codes to access information about the Medal of Honor and its extraordinary recipients. It thus serves as an educational tool to pass on these extraordinary stories for generations to come.
The other special liveries
This is not the first time an airline has dedicated a special livery. As previously reported by TheFlightClub, Air Canada recently launched a new livery for the animated film Turning Red. Kulula, a South African low-cost company. operating since 2001, based at Johannesburg Airport with purely domestic routes, unveiled eight new Boeing 737-800s with very special liveries a month ago.
One is dedicated to the co-pilot, another to the partnership with Europcar, a world-famous car rental company. These are just two examples of how with increasing frequency people are choosing to customize their aircraft.
