Summer slowly approaches but there are places where it is summer all year round, such as in Florida, in the United States. Summer is full of beach and pool parties, where the two protagonists of today's story were surely going.
We are at the airport in Miami, at American Airlines check-in and two female passengers show up in costume.
What makes the most noise, however, about the way these two female passengers dress is that American Airlines seems to apply a standard of judgment different depending on the occasion.
In fact, this is not the first time something like this has happened, only this time no one said anything. Last time the model Olivia Culpo, former Miss Universe, had been stuck at check-in and threatened that she would not be allowed to board the plane unless she covered herself. She was wearing shorts and a sports bra.
Double standards in short, but what does the regulation say about American Airlines' dress code? Little to nothing.
The lines state to "dress appropriately" and that the regulations "do not allow bare feet or offensive clothing." Which means that the discretion goes through the ground staff who interpret in their own way and make decisions.
But Miami's airport apparently is famous for its travelers. extravagant, some time ago another passenger was caught wearing only a bikini at check-in.
Evidently, things are different in Miami and a little "light" clothing does not seem to be a problem...In contrast to other destinations, in fact, we remember that some time ago American Airlines had not let the Turkish body builder board one of his flights because she was too low-cut:
"On July 8, American Airlines denied boarding to a customer traveling from Dallas-Fort Worth to Miami. As stated in the conditions of carriage, all customers must dress appropriately and are not permitted to wear offensive clothing on board our flights.
The client was informed of our policy and was rebooked on a later flight by which he arrived in Miami."
