ITA Airways has put on sale territorial continuity flights from Rome Fiumicino and Milan Linate to Alghero, Olbia, Cagliari (and vice versa) to fly from May 15. Initially it will be able to buy tickets only at travel agencies, during the first days of next week, however, it will be possible to purchase on all sales channels, such as the company's website and call center.
The operative includes:
- 3 flights per day to Alghero from both Fiumicino and Linate airports (and vice versa)
- 3 flights a day to Olbia from Fiumicino (and vice versa), which becomes 4 in July and August
- 3 flights per day to Olbia from Linate (and vice versa), which becomes 4 in the months of June through September
- 7 flights per day to Cagliari from Fiumicino (and vice versa) from May to October, 6 flights per day from November
- 4 flights per day to Cagliari from Linate (and vice versa) from May to June; 5 flights in July, 6 flights from August to October, and 4 flights from November
With these operations, the Italian national airline will guarantee daily flights to Sardinia on all six main territorial continuity routes from the three Sardinian airports, thus ensuring mobility and connectivity with domestic, international and intercontinental destinations operated by ITA Airways and its partner carriers.
Despite the moment of profound uncertainty even at the global level, the Italian airline has decided to fly without compensation from the Region of Sardinia, equally guaranteeing a public service to support the Sardinian population in order to demonstrate its willingness to contribute effectively to the Country System and be a pillar for Italy's connectivity and economic development.
