La uniform worn by pilots and flight attendants is called upon to represent the image of the airline. After all, the first thing we look at as soon as we get on board is precisely the clothing of the crew. The elegance and style of the uniforms definitely succeed in giving the companion a distinctive feature, so much so that, very often, companies rely on big names in fashion and design.

Among the prestigious pencils called upon to create the uniforms there is no shortage of Italian creativity, always ready when it comes to designing clothes.

But what are the most beautiful airline uniforms, and who signed them? Let's find out together.

Qantas

Qantas, Australia's national airline, has decided to "play at home." In fact, its uniforms are made by Martin Grant, Australian designer who is well known in his homeland and also beloved by style icons of the caliber of Lady Gaga.

Bold yet classically styled, the uniforms worn by the airline's cabin crew are distinguished by an oblique red stripe, just like the one on the aircraft drift. A touch of elegance is provided by a completely fuchsia sleeve and the ribbon of the same color on the neck of the stewardesses.

"I tend to look at simplicity, nothing too complicated," explained the Australian designer.

Air France

Designed by Christian Lacroix, the uniforms of Air France Have been the same since 2005. And they are still considered among the finest airline uniforms. Featuring classically European elegance and a comfortable fit, they fill the wardrobes of pilots, stewardesses and stewards with more than 100 different garments that can be combined. The designer called the company "recognizable everywhere for its style."

Turkish Airlines

The uniforms worn by the Turkish flag carrier were designed by Italian designer Hector Bilotta, who said he was inspired by Istanbul, traditional calligraphy and Turkish mosaics. The predominance of deep red and charcoal gray give the cabin crew elegance and positivity.

Virgin Atlantic

It is of Vivienne Westwood the pencil that brought to life the uniforms of Virgin Atlantic, an airline owned by British tycoon Richard Branson. The project validates a true collaboration between these two brands, among the best-known British brands in the world. With the ever-present red that distinguishes the Virgin brand taking center stage, the flight crew uniforms are styled in the 1940s and made entirely from recycled materials.

Hainan Airlines

Among the most beautiful airline c0mpany uniforms is that of China's Hainan Airlines, which was designed by designer Laurence Xu. Launched in 2017, they represent the right mix of Western modernity and Eastern aesthetics. This is demonstrated precisely by the dress intended for hostesses, for which Xu took inspiration from the Cheongsam, a traditional Chinese dress worn for formal occasions. We speak of more than a thousand projects outlined by the Chinese designer and his staff before full satisfaction in design was achieved.

Delta

The uniforms Delta are designed by the enfant prodigy of celebrity Zac Posen. Who, having dressed stars such as Natalie Portman, Beyonce, Cameron Diaz and Gwyneth Paltrow, has designed uniforms that give self-confidence and positivity. The company's traditional red, white and blue were joined by new shades: "Passport Plum" (plum), "Cruising Cardinal" (red), "Ground Speed Graphite" (gray), "Traveling Thistle" (thistle pink) and "Skyline Slate" (slate). The result? Divisions rightfully entered among the most beautiful in the skies.
