The reopening of borders, the end of restrictions and the desire to travel again have reshaped the top ten longest flights in the world. The top spot is firmly in the hands of Singapore Airlines which with its direct connection from the Asian city-state and New York occupies the top two places in the ranking, the flight is in fact operated alternately at JFK and EWR, the two airports serving the Big Apple.

#1 Singapore - New York (16,668 km, 18 hours 45 minutes)
Inaugurated on October 11, 2018, the flight Singapore - New York Is the record to beat: 18 hours and 45 minutes, which are sometimes 19. Signed Singapore Airlines, travel is on board the Airbus A350-900 ULR (ultra long range). And there is no traditional Economy Class: only Business and Premium Economy, for some extra ease.

#2 Perth - London (14,500 km, 17 hours, 25 minutes)
From the capital of Western Australia to the capital of Britain, once again nonstop, all thanks to Qantas. On March 25, 2018, the first direct flight took off. Between Perth and London, 14,500 km to be covered in nearly 17 1/2 hours. #4 Auckland - New York (14,207 km, 17 hours, 12 minutes)
This is a new link that will take off next September and join New Zealand with the East Coast of the United States, becoming the fourth longest air link in the world.
#5 Auckland - Dubai (14,200 km, 17 hours, 12 minutes)
For just 7 miles, Emirates' Boeing 777 flying from Dubai to New Zealand goes from fourth to fifth, identical flight time to cover the 8,824 miles separating the two cities.

The longest flight from Italy
As of this year, there is also Italy on the list of the world's longest routes. Of course we are outside the TOP5, but it is still the 18th longest flight in the world. We are talking about the direct flight from Rome to Perth, continuing on to Sydney which will take off in July falls on the list of the most extreme long hauls.
