Air France revamps the cabins of its 777s, will become a top-of-the-line product. The business will be a suite

Air France Will completely renovate the interiors of 12 Boeing 777/300s, those that today are configured with the most agée and least attractive cabin in the entire fleet, but will become the most modern and attractive.

Installation of the new booths will begin in September and will see a total redesign of the interior, from business class to economy.
The most important change will be in the business class, today set up with a 2-3-2 configuration: will be configured with 48 seats, all with direct aisle access, and all the seats will have a door that will turn them into a small suite, much like the British Airways Club World Suite.

Air France, with this move, seeks to catch up with other carriers that now offer a far more attractive product by focusing on the elegance of French-style travel art.
The design of this seat is based on the 3 Fs:
- Full Flat: the armchair turns into a real bed almost two meters long
- Full Access: all passengers will have direct access to the aisle
- Full Privacy: confidentiality assured, each guest will be able to enjoy the trip away from prying eyes
Wool, brushed aluminum, and French full-grain leather are the noble, soft and natural materials chosen by Air France to make its seats. Each seat is also embroidered with the company's distinctive red accent.
The sliding door allows passengers to create a totally private space, out of sight of other passengers in the cabin. A solution very similar to that adopted by British Airways and Qatar.
To create a greater sense of privacy for passengers traveling together, the seats in the center of the cabin now have a center panel that can be lowered by pressing it down, creating a convivial space.
The seat also features a large 17.3-inch 4K high-definition anti-glare screen with noise-canceling headphones, a new Bluetooth connection that allows passengers to use their own headphones, and several electrical outlets.
All new premium economy and tourist class as well
The company will also install the new Premium Economy (48 seats) and Economy (273 seats) cabin on board these planes for optimal comfort. Each cabin is elegantly decorated in the brand's distinctive colors: navy blue, white for light and contrast, and shades of red.
In the Premium Economy cabin, Air France introduces its latest reclining seat model already available on the A350 fleet, further enhancing its comfort. Each seat provides 96 cm of legroom. The cushions have been redesigned, and the navy blue herringbone fabric adds additional softness. The seat back reclines to 124 degrees and has been enlarged to provide more privacy. A new audio headset with noise reduction is built into the seat and is easy to use at any time during the flight. The seat also has USB A and C ports.
In the Economy cabin, seats also meet the highest comfort standards in the market. Each seat has a wide 43-cm seat, 119-degree recline and 79-cm legroom. The backrest is ergonomically designed, offering reinforced lateral support. It is also equipped with a USB A port.
The seats in these two cabins are equipped with a large 13.3-inch 4K high-definition screen with Bluetooth connection, ideal for enjoying more than 1,000 hours of on-demand entertainment.
In conclusion
This redesign brings a part of the fleet that today was considered second-rate into the present and was mainly used on leisure routes, such as the Caribbean and the Thailand.
I flew in October on this 777 and I must say it really needed a makeover. The 2-3-2 configuration is really the worst you can find in the skies today.
Of course, these planes will not have installed Premiere, or first class, but they will certainly be able to meet the needs of premium customers, those willing to pay the price of a business ticket to fly comfortable and relaxed between the Ville Lumiere and the Big Apple.
