Here we go again... American Airlines again made a fuss of a passenger for how he was dress and forced him to change To get on board.
We have told several times about the policies on American Airlines' dress-code and its discretion in letting people on or off the plane depending on how they are dressed. Suffice it to think to the case of former Miss Universe Olivia Culpo, forced to cover up to board because she was overdressed provocative according to American Airlines.
This time the protagonist of the story is a South Korean DJ: Hwang So-hee, known to the public as DJ Soda, who was forced to undress and put her pants on inside out because of a not-so-nice piece of writing:

DJ Soda's flight was a JFK - Los Angeles where she was to perform at an event, she showed up at the airport wearing sponsored pants for which she was paid to wear, reportedly the DJ was forced to leave the plane to take off the pants and change them Or solve in some way.

The artist described his adventure as follows:
"Yesterday returning from JFK to LAX on American Airlines, I was harassed and humiliated. I was forced off the plane and had to remove my pants in front of the flight crew at the gate.
I never had a problem wearing this pair of pants in my many months of touring North America, and I had no problem wearing them when I checked in or when I sat in my seat.
One of the staff suddenly approached me to take my bags and leave the plane without any kind of explanation. As I was being escorted off the plane, they claimed that my sweat pants were "inappropriate" and "offensive" and told me that I had to take the next flight.
I had arranged an important meeting in Los Angeles that day, so I could not afford to get off this flight. I asked to stay on the flight, but was ignored by the staff and flight attendants. I even offered to change, but the request was denied. What happened next was horrendous.
With my broken fingers (had recently been injured ed.), I struggled to take off my pants in front of the entire crew and was left half-naked while they still refused to board the flight. They even commented sarcastically that I could have taken my pants off earlier.
When they finally let me in, I put my pants on inside out and finally sat down after an hour's delay causing inconvenience to the passengers on board.
I was mortified and trembling with fear for the next 6 hours on my flight back to Los Angeles. In my 8 years of touring, I have never experienced such unfair treatment, especially in a country known for its freedom of speech and individuality.
From now on I will boycott American Airlines and I hope this will NEVER happen to anyone ever again."

American Airlines has its own code of clothing that reads, "Dress appropriately, no bare feet or offensive clothing allowed." In short, a sentence that basically says everything and says nothing, leaves much the discretion To staff who interpret this "rule" in their own way.
