A couple decided to get married in the air. The whole thing took place at an altitude of 37,000 feet on a Southwest aircraft departed from Dallas and destined for Las Vegas. A truly unique moment, with an unusual ceremony. All largely improvised, complete with streamers made as best as possible from toilet paper. A story that has the unbelievable, featuring as protagonists Pam and Jeremy Salda. Below we recount what happened, complete with photos of the event in the air.

Pam and Jeremy Salda have married aboard a plane of the Southwest. News that obviously made the rounds in the news, spreading quickly on the web with numerous shots that intrigued the curious around the world. The two have been dating since August 2020. It can be said that their love is somehow related to Covid, considering how it was born at the time of the pandemic.

The news that some airlines had abolished the compulsory wearing of masks on board prompted them to go "crazy." They decided to book two tickets, fly to Las Vegas and get married. What initially seemed like a joke turned into reality. Here are the groom's words, "Everything happened within 1 1/2 hours. We quickly booked both the flights and the hotel in Las Vegas. Pam bought her wedding dress online and had it shipped overnight."

The couple lives in Oklahoma City and was ready for this incredible adventure. Chapel booked for 9 p.m. Sunday evening, when Pam Patterson would officially become Pam Salda. However, things did not go as they predicted, quite the contrary. While waiting at the Dallas Fort Worth airport there were numerous delays and finally the hoax: the flight to Las Vegas was canceled. A sign of fate? It was certainly not interpreted that way by the couple.

In the course of the very long wait in Dallas, Jeremy and Pam got to meet another passenger bound for Las Vegas. His name is Chris Kligora and is an ordained priestly minister. After hearing their story, he proposed to marry the couple. The three of them found another Southwest flight to Las Vegas with just four empty seats. However, the plane was departing from Dallas Love Field, a 25-minute drive away.

It was 50 minutes before departure, and the three convinced an Uber driver to push hard to complete this movie-worthy feat. All while wearing their wedding outfits, which attracted the attention of onlookers and the captain of the second flight they fortunately managed to catch.

Pam answered the pilot's questions and jokingly speculated about a wedding during the flight. She never thought he would be willing to arrange it. So the crew got busy. They hung impromptu streamers out of toilet paper, and Kligora ended up wearing a sash made from snack bags.

The maid of honor was Julie Reynolds, one of the flight attendants, while a professional photographer on board took numerous photos of the couple. No cake, of course, but there was apparently a cutting of a powdered doughnut.
