ANA, All Nippon Airlines, was thelatest customer to order Airbus A380s. The Japanese carrier has only 3 giants of the skies in its fleet, two of which were delivered at the height of the pandemic.
Now, After a stop of more than 2 years, the Japanese company decided to take them off again to Hawaii, more specifically Honolulu direction.
Even before the pandemic ANA had decided that it would use the 3 aircraft only on the Tokyo Honolulu route., one of the busiest in the Japanese market given the very high number of tourist trips from the Rising Sun nation to the archipelago of islands in the middle of the Pacific.
Star Alliance member announced that From next July 1 will resume daily connections using precisely the largest of the aircraft in its fleet. At the moment the flight will be operated only on Fridays and Saturdays, but as soon as traffic returns to pre-pandemic levels, and more importantly Japan reopens its borders without restrictions, the carrier will also operate the link twice a day in the peak season.
More than 500 passengers can be carried aboard the three planes, all painted in highly colorful liveries, in four classes of service. The upper deck houses eight first class suites in 1-2-1 configuration and 56 business class seats. The main deck is configured with 73 premium economy seats and 383 economy seats.
In conclusion
This is not a very popular route for an Italian traveler, although it would be a perfect leg for an RTW, i.e. a ticket to go around the world, in any case it is important to us at TFC that more and more A380s are rescued from the desert and put back into operation.
