Genoa Lounge reopens. After two years of service reduction, starting Monday, May 2, the dedicated business and frequent flyer lounge will be open from 5:00 am to 7:00 pm. With this schedule, all full-service carrier flights to connected European hubs (Rome, Munich, Amsterdam) and almost all low-cost flights will be served.
The Genoa Lounge, renovated in 2017, is located before the security checkpoints. It is about 200 square meters in size and offers a dedicated check-in service, direct access to security checkpoints, a snack and beverage area, unlimited ultra-broadband Wi-Fi, a soundproof room for phone calls and work videocalls, and electrical outlets for charging one's electronic devices. Also among the most popular services is the tele-check-in option, which allows passengers to request a print-out of their boarding pass by phone close to departure, prior to their arrival at the airport.
"We are happy to be able to return to welcome our frequent flyers in a modern and welcoming space. - Paolo Odone, president of Genoa Airport, comments. - In 2019, the last year of full operation, the Genova Lounge had registered more than 28,000 guests. The most appreciated services have always been dedicated check-in desks, a peculiarity of our lounge, and direct access to security gates. The reopening of the Genova Lounge is a further sign of the restart of our airport, and we are happy to be able to offer this service to residents and tourists who will transit through our airport starting May 2."
Access to the Genoa Lounge and its services is reserved for First and Business class travelers and holders of enabled frequent flyer cards. Admission can also be purchased through Genoa Airport's e-commerce site in the form of a single voucher (at a cost of 18 euros), a 5-entry carnet (at a cost of 72 euros) and as an annual pass, with no access limit for the holder (at a cost of 199 euros for 12 months).
This summer Genoa Airport will be served by 11 domestic routes and 12 international routes (including Ryanair's new Brussels, Manchester, and Vienna and Vueling's flight to Paris Orly). From October 30, the new Ryanair flight to Dublin will be added. From the beginning of June, Ita Airways' flights to and from Rome will increase from 3 to 4, enabling same-day travel for both passengers departing from the Ligurian capital and those flying from the capital.
