The SkyTeam aviation alliance opened its first lounge in South America, more specifically in Santiago, Chile.
The 757-square-meter facility is available to international Elite Plus, First and Business Class customers Of the alliance carriers flying to this airport.
"With the return of international travel, we are excited to enhance the customer experience by adding another lounge to our global network," said Kristin Colvile, CEO of SkyTeam. "We have combined the warmth of Chilean hospitality with elements of the country's delicious cuisine to provide a welcoming space where customers can enjoy before they fly."
SkyTeam's Santiago lounge is located at the second floor of Terminal 2 at the airport Pier E and features design elements that pay homage to the nation's cultural heritage. Comfortable seats, all equipped with charging outlets, there are also showers, free Wi-Fi, and other amenities designed to help customers relax before the flight.
Diners seeking the authentic taste of Chile can refuel with freshly prepared empanadas or help themselves from a wide selection of buffets with international options available all day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
SkyTeam's Santiago lounge is open from three hours before the first flight until the departure of the last SkyTeam flight of the day. Santiago International Airport is served by five ST airlines: Aerolineas Argentinas, Aeromexico, Air France, Delta Air Lines, and KLM. By the end of the year, SkyTeam will reopen its Sydney lounge with a brand new look, following the renovations and improvements currently underway.
