Vacation time and time for questions in the world of hotel chain loyalty programs. Today we answer a question regarding the benefits provided for elite status holders, and in particular we will explain who is entitled to the benefits.
The question that came through our facebook page is as follows: I am Gold in the Hilton Honors program, if I book two rooms, do my fellow travelers get free breakfast?
We have partially covered this topic in the past, mainly analyzing the aspect of theAccumulation of points and how to get the most when booking multiple rooms: for themselves and for friends and family. We thus explained the rules for getting the most out of it without leaving points on the street.
Our reader, as a Hilton Honors Gold member, is entitled when booking in the American chain hotels to free breakfast, room upgrade and many other small benefits. But are these benefits also passed on to guests in the other rooms they book?
The answer unfortunately is no, in almost all hotel chains. Benefits cannot be extended to other rooms in the same reservation. However, if you own the American Express Platinum you can take advantage of the benefits provided by the card and especially double them for free thanks to the supplementary card.
By giving your husband/girlfriend/brother the additional card, you will have the opportunity to get a second Priority Pass and all the statuses attached to the main card. So here you have two people in the family with elite status: when traveling with friends just "mix rooms" and you will get the benefits for both rooms.
If, on the other hand, you book multiple rooms through the Fine Hotels + Resorts by American Express benefits will be recognized to all rooms on the reservation.
