Asia is itching to get back to welcoming tourists from around the world and Vietnam, after being one of the last countries to open its borders, as of today became the first to remove all pre-start requirements.
The government has Officially abandoned all Covid-19 testing for incoming travelers, regardless of vaccination status, on or after Sunday, May 15, 2022.
All travelers who can enter the nation without a visa by obtaining it directly at the airport will be able to travel to Vietnam as in the pre covid world, that is, without anything more than a passport.
Until now there was a requirement to have a negative Covid-19 test before departure, a practice already abandoned by other nations in the area such as Cambodia, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and Laos.
