We are on the eve of summer, the first of freedom after two years of pandemic, but a reward traveler is aware that the best way to use the points and find the best conversions of points to award tickets is to take action in time.

Flying to Doha, from Malpensa, costs only 86k Avios points, plus just under €200 in taxes and surcharges.
On average, Qatar offers at least two business class seats per flight.

The Helsinki-based carrier not only provides up to 5 award seats on the same flight, but also charges the lowest cost of all global carriers in terms of fees.
Flying to Bangkok, again from Malpensa, costs just under 200k Avios and only 63 euros in taxes, practically 1/6 of what Qatar charges on the same route. If you want to save a few thousand points, you can then book, not through British Airways Avios, but directly from Finnair.
