ITA Airways has just informed the enrolled in the Volare loyalty program which new lounge at Fiumicino Airport Terminal 1 will open by the end of June. Since the Roman airport has seen a return to its traditional configuration, i.e., Pier E (or Terminal 3) returned to serve only non-Schengen flights and the simultaneous reopening of the brand new Terminal 1, ITA Airways passengers were locked out of theItalian carrier's only lounge present at its main hub.

Dear Member,
We would like to inform you that by the end of June we will be able to welcome you to a dedicated lounge whenever you depart from the new Pier A at Rome Fiumicino Leonardo da Vinci Airport.
In the meantime, for all your departures from or via Rome Fiumicino to domestic and Schengen destinations we will continue to recognize you 15% of extra points than those scheduled for your flight to apologize for the inconvenience.
We thank you for your understanding and look forward to seeing you on board our planes soon.

The compensation campaign for the absence of the lounge is also extended, which will give all passengers in transit or departing from Fiumicino the extra 15% of Volare points until the new lounge comes into service.
I am curious to see where the hall will be opened, whether it will be in the public part as it was before with Alitalia or whether it will be located after the security checks.

Terms and conditions
- Bonus points will be awarded to all Premium and Executive members who take flights departing from Rome Fiumicino until June 30, 2022 to domestic or Schengen area destinations
- As of July 31, Volare bonus points will be credited to the personal account of the member who made the flights mentioned in the previous point
- Bonus points are considered non-qualifying
- In the event that a member does not see bonus points credited to his or her Volare account, he or she may request them by using the retro-credit section in his or her personal area, within the timeframe specified in the Volare rules.
